In a recent interview with HuffPost Live, Don Johnson (Dakota Johnson’s Father) talked about his daughter’s lead role as ‘Anastasia Steele’ in the “Fifty Shades of Grey” franchise…. he hasn’t even read the popular books.
“… [And] this isn’t something I would go out and buy and read anyways. This isn’t on my bucket list. I read ‘The Story Of O’ in the sixties so I think I’m up to speed.”
Despite not knowing exactly what the role of ‘Anastasia Steele’ entails, the elder Johnson is confident that it won’t define the rest of his daughter’s career.
“I can tell you this: Dakota is a gifted, gifted actress and this will be a blip in a long line of parts where she kills it. She is the authentic article and I am exceedingly proud of her.”
