Jamie Dornan Wins UK Broadcasting Press Guild’s Breakthrough Actor Award

Jamie Dornan was given the award for his role as Paul Spector in the psychological thriller ‘The Fall.’ The BBC Two television series is currently filming its second season in Belfast and co-stars Gillian Anderson (The X Files) as Stella Gibson.
Paul Spector is a husband and a father but it is his actions that come to define him.
Paul Spector is the other side of Stella Gibson’s coin. He is a husband and a father but it is his actions that come to define him. He too seeks to control the world around him, but unlike Gibson he wilfully transgresses the very rules of society that she seeks to enforce.
His family might induce some sort of feelings of love, but it also provides him with the outward appearance of normality. On the surface at least he is socially competent, persuasive and manipulative. By creating a fantasy and putting it into action he believes he creates his own highly controlled existential reality, his personal microcosm.
He works as a bereavement councillor and in fact his unique lack of empathy makes him a superficially competent one. However, it is the activities that he carries out in the shadows of society that reveal Spector’s true character.
Paul Spector is a serial killer. This is his addiction, and like any addict he needs more of the drug each time to reach a similar high.
While he was unable to attend the ceremony due to the scheduling conflict, Jamie did record the following acceptance speech:

Jamie-Dornan-Fifty-Shades-Grey-Sex-Scenes-Video-Nude-Photos-City

In what might be the most interesting way I have ever heard of to “get in the mood” – Jamie Dornan tells what it took for him to get in the mood on the set of Fifty Shades. Can’t say I saw this one coming –
Jamie Dornan is opening up about how he got in the mood for filming those raunchy sex scenes in his upcoming movie Fifty Shades of Grey.
He watched DVD box sets of Sex and The City with his actor pal—and co-star in new Channel 4 show New Worlds—Joe Dempsie.
Ermmmmmmm…….OK then……
“Joe and I watched all the Sex and the City box sets—twice,” Dornan told Britain’s The Sun newspaper. “That helped.”

CinemaCon: Universal Unveils First ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ Footage

Universal Pictures Unveils the first footage from the highly anticipated adaptation Fifty Shades of Grey at CinemaCon
“Nobody outside the studio has seen a frame of footage,” Universal Pictures chairman Donna Langley said.
The clip showed Dakota Johnson andJamie Dornan as Anastasia and Christian Grey. The scenes included the characters meeting in Grey’s office. “Mr. Grey will see you now,” says they receptionist. They trailer showed them meeting in coffee shops and the hardware store, all familiar scenes in the book.
While based EL James‘ erotic novel, the film looks more romantic than sexual. There was a brief glimpse of Johnson wearing a black blindfold in a red room, but most of the focus was on the courting of the couple.
_———————
Best info so far – Here is a full rundown of the clip. SOUNDS SO HOT!!
The nearly two-minute teaser opens with a cityscape look at Seattle, on a day with some sunshine but mostly grey skies. A soft, slow piano solo plays in the background (which sounds like an airy and eerie cover of Beyoncé’s “Haunted”) as we begin with Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) recounting her first meeting with Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) to her roommate, Kate (Eloise Mumford).
“So, what was he like?” Kate asks Anastasia, which we hear in voiceover as the scene of Anastasia and Christian’s first meeting plays out.
“Mr. Grey will see you now,” says his assistant to the brunette as she walks into Christian’s very spacious, immaculate office. The initial exchanges are full of shy glances from Anastasia and fixed gazes from Christian.
“He was really smart, intense,” Anastasia says to Kate, as more of their meeting plays out on screen. He passes her a pencil with “Grey” printed on it and they touch hands briefly. “He was very courteous,” she continues, as we watch Christian help her into her jacket.
“Anastasia,” Christian says as she gets on the elevator.
“Christian,” she responds, and the elevator doors close.
Now the lyrics to the song playing in the background kick in, with a backbeat that fittingly speeds up the action and the courtship. There are passionate embraces and kisses, extended time spent together, touching. We see Anastasia falling head-over-heels in love and into Christian’s world and only realizing she might be in too deep when he slowly opens a door… into a room… (book readers will know what we mean).
“I don’t know if I can be with him the way he needs me to,” Anastasia says in voiceover as we catch a quick glimpse of her lying down, a look of surprise on her face.
The rest of the teaser is a slight back-and-forth between the romance and the potentially dangerous connection between the two lovers. You can feel the intensity building, enhanced by the very colorful landscape director Sam Taylor-Johnson has created. The footage feels lush, elegant, and clean, but with an element of restraint and danger.
And then there is the not-at-all-subtle smolder of Dornan as Christian Grey. He simmers onscreen. Johnson seems perfectly natural as the innocent ingenue about to embark on a road of discovery.
Their final exchange in the teaser is a solid one: ”Why are you trying to change me?” Anastasia worriedly asks Christian.
“I’m not,” Christian says, with emotion. “It’s you that’s changing me.”

‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ Star Jamie Dornan Says He Prepares For Sex Scenes By Watching ‘Sex And The City’

When Jamie Dornan was cast as billionaire Christian Grey in ‘Fifty Shades of Grey‘, he had to kiss goodbye to any kind of camera-shyness he had when it came to sex scenes – and now he’s revealed how he prepares for filming them.
Before ‘Fifty Shades’ hits cinemas next February, Jamie will be starring in Channel 4′s historical drama ‘New Worlds’, and he says that in order to get into the sexy mindset for some of his scenes in the drama he and co-star Joe Dempsie used a little help from Carrie Bradshaw and the girls.
Jamie told The Sun: ”Joe and I watched all the ‘Sex and the City’ box sets – twice. That helped.”
Jamie, that might be ‘research’ for you, but it’s just a regular Friday night in for us.
All this ‘Sex and the City’ talk has got us wondering which one of the girls Jamie identifies with. We bet he’s a Charlotte.
The actor also spoke to the newspaper about enjoying himself behind-the-scenes on ‘New Worlds’, saying: ”Obviously we’re getting the work done but you’re allowed to have fun at work – I’d stop if I wasn’t allowed to have fun.”
‘New Worlds’, which airs on 1 April, is set in the 1680s making it all the more interesting to see how ‘Sex and the City’ was an influence for the show.
If we make it to the end and haven’t seen a single shot of Jamie in a pair of Manolos we’ll be very disappointed

E.L. James Teases Fans With Twitter Pic. Is She Writing A New Book?

E.L. James is up to something sneaky… and we’re dying to know what it is. :D
The British author of Fifty Shades Of Grey shared an Instagram snap of her computer screen on Saturday. The pic is a little blurry, but the screen appears to show the beginning of a chapter of a book.
‘It’s been awhile…’ she posted with the picture.

Since publishing the final instalment of her Fifty Shades trilogy, James has taken a break from writing in order to help bring her hit series to the big screen. Production is currently underway for the first film, which stars Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson and hits cinemas in February 2015.
There’s been some speculation that James could be working on a new spin-off book to the Fifty Shades series. Though she did reveal to Entertainment Weekly at the end of last year that she’s already completed a new, unrelated project.
‘What I’d really like to be doing is sitting down in a little room writing my next book. I miss it so much,’ she said. ‘I’ve written another book…It’s very different than Fifty.’
At the time, James revealed that her new book didn’t yet have a publishing date – so perhaps she’s just working on the final draft.
Either way, we can’t wait to read it.

Sam Taylor-Johnson described Fifty Shades Of Grey as a ‘dark fairy tale’

Sam Taylor-Johnson described Fifty Shades Of Grey as a ‘dark fairy tale’
The director of racy movie Fifty Shades Of Grey has said she tells her children it is “a love story they’ll never see”.
Filmmaker and artist Sam Taylor-Johnson described the erotic romance story as “a dark fairy tale”.
The film, based on the book by ELJames and expected to hit screens in time for Valentine’s Day 2015, tells the story of billionaire Christian Grey who has a passionate relationship with student Anastasia Steele.
When asked what she tells her children about her current role, Taylor-Johnson told The Sunday Times Magazine: “I tell them it’s a love story.”
Adding: “A love story they’ll never see.”
The director said: “It’s like the world of the Grimm Brothers. I like the transition of this girl and the journey that she goes on… I hope I haven’t said too much.”
The movie was due to be unveiled in August, but was put back until 2015 having been dogged by difficulties with casting.
The production delay was thought to have been partly as a result of the abrupt exit of star Charlie Hunnam, who left citing his busy schedule and family commitments. He has now been replaced by Jamie Dornan, seen by TV viewers in BBC thriller The Fall.
Dakota Johnson has taken on the role of Anastasia
