Melanie Griffith on Her Daughter’s Sexy Starring Role in Fifty Shades of Grey

It took over a year for Fifty Shades of Grey filmmakers to select the perfect lead actress to play Anastasia Steele, the college undergrad at the helm of E.L. James’s erotic bestseller. And when they did, they chose a third-generation starlet,Dakota Johnson, daughter of Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson; granddaughter of Hitchcock muse, Tippi Hedren,; and this month’s V.F. Vanities star. When we bumped into Griffith at Wednesday night’s Vanity Fair party for Annie Leibovitz’s self-titled Taschen photography book, she told us about her experience thus far being the mother of the anticipated adaptation’s star.
“Of course I’ve read it!,” Griffith told us when we asked whether she’s read the bodice-ripping novel, described in reviews as “mommy porn.” “Every grown woman over 40 has read it!” And while she is endlessly proud of her daughter, and ripped through the pages of the film’s source material, she revealed that she will not be queuing up on premiere night to see her daughter get intimate with co-star Jamie Dornan. “No, it’s her movie, you know what I mean?” she told us. “It’d be weird if mom and dad were there and [Griffith’s husband] Antonio [Banderas] and all of the family. It would just be awkward. But I’m sure it will be great. I really love Sam [Taylor-Johnson], the director. And Dakota has a really good head on her shoulders. She’s no dummy.”
If she’s anything like her mother, she will not have to strain too hard for sex appeal. At the event, Griffith recalled her racier photo shoots with Leibovitz, one of which involved her wearing “a crazy platinum blonde wig with my tits at the forefront of the picture.” For another, Griffith said, the iconic photographer “wrapped me up in celluloid, otherwise naked. Sitting like a pin-up girl with just the celluloid.” The photo is so risqué that for years, Griffith said she hid it from her children, eventually deciding to hang it in the “men’s bathroom in our house” once she considered the kids sufficiently grown.
When we asked whether Johnson has asked her mother for any advice about her 50 Shades of Grey role, Griffith laughed, “Not so much. She looks at me and says, ‘I’m not going to do that, what you did, mom.’”

Rita Ora recording song for 50 Shades of Grey soundtrack

Rita Ora has confirmed that she will contribute a new track to the 50 Shades of Grey soundtrack.
The singer will star in the film adaptation of EL James’s popular novel as Mia Grey when it hits cinemas on Valentine’s Day weekend in 2015, and has revealed plans to record a new song for the movie.
“There is such a different vision for the movie to my own music, so there is a specific kind of vision for that soundtrack,” Ora told Metro of the project.
Speaking at last night’s (February 19) Brit Awards in London, the star also announced that her new single ‘I Will Never Let You Down’ will premiere this weekend.
“It’s music to make you happy. It’s a good groove, because I am honestly in a happy place right now,” Ora said.

‘Once Upon a Time’ Producers Wanted Jamie Dornan to Return

The producers of Once Upon a Time wanted Jamie Dornan to return this season. Well…I am not seeing that one happening, but I am all for it.
Feel free to return sheriff!
The producers had hoped that he would come back to say hi in Season 3, but his schedule got pretty damn busy. You know, there is that little movie that he’s currently starring in - Fifty Shades of Grey. Right after Fifty Shades of Grey he returns to The Fall.
The producers do, however, find it great that everyone has responded to Jamie’s talent.
Here lies the question though- how would they have written Jamie back in?
“Ask us that after the finale,” Kitsis said. “And then we will tell you exactly what we wanted to do and then you will be so bummed that we didn’t get to do it, and then you will have the same look on your face that I do right now, which is sadness.”
Once Upon a Time returns March 9th.

Fifty shades of grey movie to be released February 2015

Oprah Winfrey wants 50 Shades of Grey to be ”filthier” than the book.

Oprah Winfrey wants 50 Shades of Grey to be ”filthier” than the book.
Who knew Fifty Shades of Grey was one of Oprah Winfrey‘s favorite things?!
Well, at The Weinstein Co.’s post-BAFTA party Sunday at Rosewood London, the 60-year-old media mogul revealed that her Inner Goddess will be delighted next year when Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson bring E.L. James‘ S&M-loving leads to life on the big screen.
“I know Rita [Ora] and I know Fifty Shades of Grey—and I just can’t wait for the movie,” she reportedly said, per The Sun. “I’ve read the book and I just hope the movie is filthier than the book. Less talking, more action!” Oh my.
Even though the film doesn’t hit theaters until Valentine’s Day 2015, Oprah might get a few secrets from the set via 23-year-old Ora, who plays Mia Grey, the adopted younger sister of Christian (Dornan) in the flick. O was hanging out with the “I Will Never Let You Down” singer Sunday, along with Naomi Campbell and Georgina Chapman.
So will Ms. Winfrey’s wish for a raunchier Fifty Shades movie come true? Producer Dana Brunetti told Collider this past November the film “obviously” has to have an R-rating, but he’s hoping to have “an NC-17 version that we released a few weeks later,” too.
“So everybody could go and enjoy the R version, and then if they really wanted to see it again and get a little bit more gritty with it then have that NC-17 version out there as well,” he explained. “What we’re kind of hearing from the fans is they want it dirty, they want it as close as possible [to the book].  We want to keep it elevated, but also give the fans what they want.”
Certainly, and now that Oprah is out as a Fifty Shades fan, this movie better be really good—or bad, depending on how you look at it.

Katie Cassidy Talks Rumors of Fifty Shades of Grey Casting

Cosmopolitan.com finally caught up with Katie Cassidy to address the casting rumors of playing Christian Grey’s ex-girlfriend Leila Williams that are spreading like wild fire all over the internet.

The film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey may be one Valentine’s Day away from theaters, but the cast is growing — and Katie Cassidy could be its latest addition.

“You never know what can happen,” the actress told Cosmopolitan.com at the Lela Rose show Sunday during New York Fashion Week.

Rumors that Cassidy may join the cast as Christian Grey’s ex-girlfriend Leila Williams were reported earlier this week after author E.L. James posted an Instagram of the actress with the caption “Katie Cassidy … Isn’t she flexible” on February 5.

Cassidy herself shared her admiration for the author and series. “I’m obviously a fan of the book,” she said. “E.L. James is obviously incredibly talented and has become a friend of mine.”

Eloise Mumford Has Booked a New Role

mumford__140207223012-275x318
Fifty Shades star Eloise Mumford has been cast in ABC pilot “WARRIORS”. According to Deadline…
Eloise Mumford is set to co-star in ABC’s medical drama pilot Warriors, from writer Chris Keyser, Mandeville TV and ABC Studios. The casting stems from the talent holding deal ABC signed with Mumford last summer after casting her in two consecutive drama pilots, River, which went to series, and last year’s Reckless. Inspired by the Walter Reed Military Medical Center, Warriors follow the best and brightest active duty military doctors and nurses as they practice trailblazing medicine. Mumford plays Stacey, a surgical resident who is sometimes overwhelmed by the sadness and emotional toll of her job.
