Don Johnson: ‘I won’t be seeing Fifty Shades of Grey’

Don Johnson, Dakota Johnson’s Father says in a new interview with The Telegraphthat he won’t be watching his daughter’s first major role in Fifty Shades of Grey, not because of its provocative content, but because it doesn’t interest him.

He said:

“It’s not something I would go to anyway. I probably will not see it just because it’s not a movie I would see. I’ve never seen The Vampire Diaries, I’ve never seen Twilight. It’s in a category of films that I just wouldn’t be interested in.”

However, he seemed relaxed about his daughter taking on such a sexually charged role, saying:

“I don’t know whether it is [embarrassing] or not, this is the family business, we portray characters and this is the character that Dakota is portraying. It’s difficult for people to separate who we are from the characters we portray, but not for me.”

Eloise Mumford talks ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ Movie

E Online has shared a new interview with Eloise Mumford who plays Kate, Anastasia Steele’s roommate and Best Friend in Fifty Shades of Grey Movie.

She talks the director Sam Taylor-Johnson and says she is handling everything just right.

“She’s such a great director,” Mumford says while promoting her action flick, Drones. “I knew right away it would be tasteful and artistic. And the cinematographer is Seamus McGarvey. He did Anna Karenina. It’s going to be beautiful.”

She added, “In the end, the story really is a romance and a love story so it’s about that more than anything.”

Mumford stayed mum on specific details. “I wish I could, but as you know, we’ve all been sworn to secrecy,” she said.

However, we’re happy to report that Mumford said Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan were “the perfect pair to play Ana and Christian.”

Fifty Shades of Grey Movie set to be released on February 13, 2015.

No Trailer Expected For “Fifty Shades Of Grey” Movie Until September??

Fifty Shades of Grey is set to be released on Valentine’s Day 2015 but Fans are eagerly waiting for the official trailer of the movie as filming ended months ago.

However this may not happen until the fall. Fans will have to wait due to the five-month rule imposed by the National Association of Theatre Owner rules. A new report states that National Association of Theatre Owner made some changes about the timeline on when movie trailers can be released. The rule prohibits studios from showing trailers if the release date is more than five months away. With these rules, Fifty Shades fans shouldn’t expect a trailer until around September 2014.

“Cinemas will advertise a wide release film/event no sooner than 150 days with trailers and 120 days on all other marketing materials before its theatrical release date. Two exemptions per year per distributor (exemptions are granted per title and not per marketing material), based on theatrical release date. Advance notification of the intended use of an exemption must be given to NATO via exemption@natoca.com.”

However, during the Cinema Con event in Las Vegas last March, Universal pictures showed Five minutes clip from the movie.

According to The Hollywood Reporter :-“Nobody outside the studio has seen a frame of footage,” Universal Pictures chairman Donna Langley said.

“The clip showed Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan as Anastasia and Christian Grey. The scenes included the characters meeting in Grey’s office. “Mr. Grey will see you now,” says they receptionist before cutting to a clip of her telling her friend how hot he is. They trailer showed them meeting in coffee shops and the hardware store, all familiar scenes in the book. The romance scenes began after that and included scenes with Dakota wearing a blindfold and also Jamie pushing her up against a wall.”

Andrew Airlie as Carrick Grey in the ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ movie?!!!

According to the Fifty Shades of Grey page on IMDB, Andrew Airlie will be playing Carrick Grey in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie!

Nothing confirmed yet but hopefully someone from Team Fifty will confirm it soon.

Andrew is 52 years old, which seems about right. He was born in Scotland.The films he is best known for are  50/50 (2011), Fantastic Four (2005) and Apollo 18 (2011).He made guest appearances on all three of the longest running North American science fiction series: The X-Files (1993), Stargate SG-1 (1997) and Smallville (2001).

Charlie Hunnam Admits It’s “Heartbreaking” to Not Portray Christian Grey in ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ Film

Charlie Hunnam is heartbroken over Christian Grey.

In a recent interview with Life & Style , The Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam talks about dropping the film adaptation of E.L. James’ best-selling “Fifty Shades of Grey” and admits how difficult a choice that was to make.

“I felt like I had an interesting take on that character and felt like I could have done a good job of playing Christian Grey, otherwise I wouldn’t have taken it on in the first place,”

“When you put the time into something like that and a character comes alive in your mind, it’s heartbreaking not to be able to play him […] It was definitely kind of heartbreaking having to say goodbye to that character and not bring it to life.”

Last September Fifty shades author EL James confirmed that Charlie Hunnam and Dakota Johnson take the roles of Christian and Anastasia Steele but a month later, Universal Pictures announced Charlie had exited the film because of Family issues and  his shooting schedule with the FX series Sons of Anarchy.

Soon after , The Irish actor Jamie Dornan  replaced him to play Christian Grey .For Charlie, there are no hard feelings about the situation. In fact, he plans on fully supporting the movie when it hits theaters next February.

“If they invite me to the premiere, I will go and see it there,” he said. “If not, I’ll go and buy some tickets on opening night.”

Victor Rasuk Talks What Fans Can Expect From ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ Movie

You just shot the 50 Shades of Grey movie. Give us a few words on it.

I didn’t realize how big of a deal it was until I was cast and then I realized that almost half my friends and family have read the book. They were all like: ‘Oh my god, you’re playing Jose!’ It’s super-cool to be part of something that has such a huge fan-base, but I think that creatively and behind the scenes on that movie, everyone was so devoted to getting the story and every thing about it right. Not only for the story, but also for the fans. I think that everyone’s gonna love it once it comes out, because I think we really did it justice.

Don Johnson talks his daughter’s lead role in ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ movie

In a recent interview with HuffPost Live, Don Johnson (Dakota Johnson’s Father) talked about his daughter’s lead role as ‘Anastasia Steele’ in the “Fifty Shades of Grey” franchise…. he hasn’t even read the popular books.

“… [And] this isn’t something I would go out and buy and read anyways. This isn’t on my bucket list. I read ‘The Story Of O’ in the sixties so I think I’m up to speed.”

Despite not knowing exactly what the role of ‘Anastasia Steele’ entails, the elder Johnson is confident that it won’t define the rest of his daughter’s career.

“I can tell you this: Dakota is a gifted, gifted actress and this will be a blip in a long line of parts where she kills it. She is the authentic article and I am exceedingly proud of her.”

Fifty Shades director, Sam Taylor-Wood, has revealed that her husband Aaron Taylor-Johnson will appear in the Fifty Shades of Grey

Fifty Shades director, Sam Taylor-Wood, has revealed that her husband Aaron Taylor-Johnson will appear in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie. Rumors had been flying during filming but Taylor-Wood did not confirm anything until the film was well into post-production.

Taylor-Wood gave the scoop to Access Hollywood on the red carpet at the “Godzilla” premiere, a film Aaron Taylor-Johnson has a starring role in.

Access asked, “Have you found a way to get Aaron in the movie?”

After a moments hesitation the director answered, “Actually, I have.”  No details were given on Aaron’s exact role.

The director also gave a post-production update.

“It’s going good,” she explained. “I’m editing it right now, so I’m deep in the thick of it.” She also stated that the film had turned out exactly how she was hoping.

“Fifty Shades of Grey Movie”  will hit theaters on Valentine’s Day 2015 

Don Johnson talks Dakota in Fifty Shades of Grey

As the female lead in the forthcoming mega-novel adaptation Fifty Shades of Grey, there’s a whole host of expectation heaped on Dakota Johnson.

But there’s one famous actor who’s definitely got her back – her father, Don Johnson.

We recently spoke to the legendary actor about his forthcoming role in gritty noir thriller Cold in July, and he only had words of encouragement and praise for his daughter as she takes on her biggest role yet.

“I’m exceedingly proud of my daughter. She’s a gifted, gifted actress. I don’t speak about the obviously salacious nonsense. This is the family business – we all take on challenges and there’s no doubt in my mind that Dakota will be a major movie star. This is just another part of what I think will be a long and important career,” he raved.
