Who knew Fifty Shades of Grey was one of Oprah Winfrey‘s favorite things?!
Well, at The Weinstein Co.’s post-BAFTA party Sunday at Rosewood London, the 60-year-old media mogul revealed that her Inner Goddess will be delighted next year when Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson bring E.L. James‘ S&M-loving leads to life on the big screen.
“I know Rita [Ora] and I know Fifty Shades of Grey—and I just can’t wait for the movie,” she reportedly said, per The Sun. “I’ve read the book and I just hope the movie is filthier than the book. Less talking, more action!” Oh my.
Even though the film doesn’t hit theaters until Valentine’s Day 2015, Oprah might get a few secrets from the set via 23-year-old Ora, who plays Mia Grey, the adopted younger sister of Christian (Dornan) in the flick. O was hanging out with the “I Will Never Let You Down” singer Sunday, along with Naomi Campbell and Georgina Chapman.
So will Ms. Winfrey’s wish for a raunchier Fifty Shades movie come true? Producer Dana Brunetti told Collider this past November the film “obviously” has to have an R-rating, but he’s hoping to have “an NC-17 version that we released a few weeks later,” too.
“So everybody could go and enjoy the R version, and then if they really wanted to see it again and get a little bit more gritty with it then have that NC-17 version out there as well,” he explained. “What we’re kind of hearing from the fans is they want it dirty, they want it as close as possible [to the book]. We want to keep it elevated, but also give the fans what they want.”
Certainly, and now that Oprah is out as a Fifty Shades fan, this movie better be really good—or bad, depending on how you look at it.
