It’s Gonna Be The Most Amazing Shock Ever’: Fifty Shades Of Grey Movie Will Have Surprise Twist, Hints Rita Ora

Rita Ora has been busy shooting scenes for her first major movie role this month. The Brit singer jetted to the Fifty Shades of Grey set in Vancouver two weeks ago to join lead stars Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, with the star revealing some secrets from the set last night.
The busy star hot footed it from Canada to Los Angeles this weekend in time for the Grammy awards where the singer is expected to walk the red carpet with her boyfriend Calvin Harris who is up for two gongs in tonight’s ceremony.
Ahead of Sunday’s star-studded event, Rita joined her fellow Roc Nation artists at the label’s Pre Grammys brunch on Saturday and in between partying with Rihanna and Jay Z, Rita opened up to reporters about her venture into movies.
“Oh, I was nervous because it was the first time I ever did a movie with words,” Ora, who has previously appeared in fast & Furious 6, told reporters on the red carpet. “But it was so nice. The director Sam [Taylor-Johnson], she was incredible, so it was all love.”
Ora teased that the movie release, based on EL James’ smash hit novel, is “gonna be the biggest and most amazing shock ever,” but she’s “so excited” for it.
The star stayed quiet on exactly what she meant by a “shock”, but the comments come amid confirmation this week that the film will differ from the raunchy book, to fit in with cinema ratings.
Speaking at the Sundance Film Festival this week, producer Michael De Luca explained that as with any book to film adaptation, scenes get cut, especially with such racy source material.
“We’re very conscious of not making anything gratuitous or exploitive while being faithful to the stories of the book and the fans of the book,” the Independent report the producer as saying.
“We’re going to give them what they expect, which is an intense and erotic love story. Obviously the film can’t be as explicit as the book.”
Before Fifty Shades hits cinemas on Valentines Day next year, Rita will be kept busy with the release of her sophomore album. The 23-year-old revealed at last night’s Grammys bash that she has finally finished her new record:
“It comes out in a few months,” she said. “It’s been about a year and a half of kind of doing it undercover, but I can officially say it’s done. The album’s gonna be great.”
